Student Vacancies at rml Engineering - NZWe recognise the need to provide current and graduating students in the mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines the opportunity to experience work in the real world as part of their professional development. We are always on the lookout for new talent to add to our team.
In suppport of this we have the following vacancies available:
Christmas Work Experience - 1 position
Suitable for second or third year mechanical or electrical students. Three months over the Christmas period, mid November to late February (negotiable). Work as a general hand and spend time in the machine shop, assembly area and installing, commissioning or servicing our products. A great hands on experience at the coal face of manufacturing and product delivery.
R & D Experience - 2 positions
Suitable for third year students looking for a more research, desk based experience. Funded through the Callaghan Innovation "R & D Experience" grant process - 400 hours over the November to February period.
Postion 1 - Suitable for a Mechanical student who would like to do some work with 3D printers and associated materials and how these could be applied in a rapid prototyping or production environment.
Postion 2 - Suitable for an Electrical student with an interest in automation systems at a mechanical and software design level.
rml Graduate Program - 1 postion
Each year rml endeavours to select one exceptional graduate from the Electrical or Mechanical stream to become part of our permanent employee team. The graduate program will see you spend time in each of rml's departments to gain a wealth of experience and an understanding of the company and its products and services over the course of 12 months. At the end of the 12 months we will sit down together and decide which part of the business you should work in to further develop your career and contribute to the growth of rml as a permanent employee.
